Getting There

There are a number of ways of getting to Burgundy and your choice is likely to be influenced by a number of factors such as the starting point of your journey, the length of time you will be there and how much you want to travel about. Unless on a walking or cycling trip a car is a necessity as local bus services can be very limited but of course rather than bring your own you can hire one there.

As there are so many options, we are very happy to discuss possibilities with you so call us on +44 (0)20 8220 6919 (weekdays 9.00 a.m. – 6.00p.m.) +44 (0)20 8262 0141 (weekends) or email us.

By Air

It has to be said that in the West of Burgundy there is no airport on our doorstep but then that is why Burgundy remains a place to chill out and retains its ‘real French ‘ feel.

Most flights from the UK are into Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to the north of the city from where you can either get a train into the centre of Paris and then a train from the Gare du Lyon Cosne Cours sur Loire. From there you can hire a car or get a taxi to Oudan. Your other choice is to hire a car at Charles de Gaulle and drive down, a journey of 2 ½ to 3 hours depending on the traffic. From London City Airport Air France – (http://www.airfrance.com/ )fly to Orly airport south of Paris and therefore only 1 ½  to 2 hours drive away. It is worth finding out if you can fly to Orly from where you are. Ryan Air fly from Stansted to Tours and your choice from there is hire car or train to Bourges or Never from where you can hire a car.

Visitors from other parts of the world may wish to fly to Paris, Lyon or Geneva from where they can hire a car or take a train and then hire a car.
